The Ministry of Business and Made in Italy announces that, based on the latest data collected by the MIMIT Fuel Price Observatory, today - Thursday, October 1 - the average price of self-service fuel along the national road network continued to fall, settling at €2.084/liter for gasoline and €2.285/liter for diesel.
Prices at gas stations in Sardinia are also down compared to yesterday: according to Mimit surveys, the average price for self-service diesel on the island is now €2.308 per litre, and that for self-service petrol is €2.098 per litre.
The gradual decrease in fuel prices seen since Monday follows the decisions of the companies Eni, Ip, and Q8 to heed the government's appeal and apply a price cap to gasoline and diesel at the pump. The cut is widening the price gap compared to those of companies that have not yet introduced the measure.
