The release of Topolino issue 3697 at the end of September, featuring a story translated into Sardinian, was greeted with great interest and enthusiasm not only by comic book enthusiasts and collectors, but also by the merely curious, fascinated by finding a weekly comic book published in the language of our land on newsstands.

Cagliari, too, has attracted interest in the past from illustrators and cartoonists who have chosen to dedicate their attention to our city over the years.

To name a few, we can start with Mickey Mouse, in which the capital appears in issue 1349 of 1981 , with a reference on the cover and a special dedicated to a "wonderful corner of one of the most beautiful islands in the world".

Sardinia appears again in 1998 and more recently. Issue 2977 of 2012 features a story with several plates depicting the terrace of the bastion on Via Santa Croce.

Dampyr, a horror series by Sergio Bonelli Editore, dedicates an entire issue to the city, issue 193 of 2016, titled "The Mysteries of Cagliari," which features panoramas and glimpses of the historic center.

Other appearances can be found in locally produced comics, including "Fisietto and the saga of the Pistis" with a setting and references to the irony typical of the people of Cagliari.
