Former Fiorentina player Celeste Pin found dead at home

Celeste Pin, a former Fiorentina defender in the 1980s and 1990s, was found dead in his home in the hills of Florence. He was 64.

The possibility of deliberate death has not been ruled out. Police responded to the scene after a family member raised the alarm this afternoon.

In addition to the Viola shirt (200 appearances and 2 goals), Pin also wore the shirts of Perugia, Verona and Siena during his career.

In 1984 he won bronze at the European Championships with the Under 21 national team.
