There are also 46 million euros in three years for Forestas in the regional finance company: 6 million for 2022, 20 million for each of the years 2023 and 2024. Resources that are needed to unblock turnover and a three-year hiring plan.

"An extraordinary intervention that puts an end to a ten-year wait and allows us to achieve two fundamental objectives: to create jobs, especially in areas at risk of depopulation and economically weaker, and to protect our wooded heritage, inestimable wealth, by strengthening strategic services in territories, such as forestation, fire prevention and civil protection ", explains the president of the Region Christian Solinas.

The governor observes how the block on turnover has "drastically reduced the staff of Forestas, weakening the safeguards for the protection of the forest heritage threatened by fires and hydrogeological instability".

2021, Solinas recalls, "was a year with a very heavy budget in terms of the fight against fire, which wreaked havoc on the environment, seriously damaging many communities and farms". This is why the intervention "is essential to secure our territories thanks to a substantial increase in the employment force".
