«Fires in Naples against Cagliari, an ugly episode for a city ready to host international sporting events»

«Dear Union,
On the sidelines of Napoli's great footballing feat, which rightly deserved the title of Italian Champion, in my opinion the night-time episode involving its fans should not be underestimated.
The muscular display of hundreds of scooters and the explosion of firecrackers in front of the guest team's hotel, with the clear intent of disturbing their rest and influencing their performance, recalls events of a dark regime against which Naples heroically fought.
There is no doubt that the presidency and coach of the team were kept in the dark, but it is indicative of a mentality that overshadows the tradition of hospitality of the entire Neapolitan city.
A public apology from the team's management and a clear distancing from this useless and arrogant way of being "fans" would, in my opinion, be desirable also to discourage the repetition of similar behaviors.
A bad page and a bad precedent for a city that is preparing to host sporting events of international resonance".
