At the Cagliari Tennis Club there will be an Italian in the final tomorrow, in the Fip Platinum Sardinia padel competition: Carolina Orsi. The main Italian player, number 30 in the ranking and gold medal at the European Games in Krakow, opened the long program of today's semi-finals by triumphing (paired with the Spanish Carla Mesa) 6-2 7-5 in an hour and 38 minutes against Marina Martínez Lobo and Nuria Rodríguez. A match in which Orsi-Mesa, after having overcome the first set, came back from 4-1 to 5-5 in the second, but then closed in a decisive manner and received the applause of the many fans who filled the stands of TC Cagliari (also today and tomorrow, as for the entire tournament, free entry). «We haven't played a lot in Italy in this last period, I had been here a couple of years ago and seeing all this crowd was special», are the immediate words of Orsi, who is making an appointment for the final: «I hope that tomorrow many of you come to cheer, it will be a wonderful emotion to play the final here. We played a wonderful tournament and we are getting better and better, after Krakow it is my most important result. I dedicate it to my family and my staff."
