Fear at home in Lecce, with coach Luca Gotti protagonist of a heroic rescue to help the technical director of the Salento club Pantaleo Corvino.
The scene of the event was Vittorio Veneto, in the province of Treviso, where the coach and manager participated in an event with other personalities from the football and sports world.
From what we learn, during the night Gotti and Corvino were in the hotel and, while they were sleeping, just before dawn, lightning struck a tree in front of the hotel, starting a fire, which gave rise to a dense blanket of smoke which together with the flames gradually began to threaten the building.
Gotti noticed what was happening, while Corvino - asleep - did not. The coach then rushed to the manager's room, starting to knock forcefully on the door, until he woke up. Then they both rushed outside to safety.
The following day - a happy ending within a happy ending - Gotti (who in recent days was also listed as one of Claudio Ranieri's possible successors on the Cagliari bench) then signed the renewal of his contract with Lecce, which he will lead until 2026.
