Actor Morgan Stevens, known for his performances in the series "They Will Be Famous", "Love Boat" and "Melrose Place", was found dead by police in the kitchen of his home in the United States. He was 70 years old.

The neighbors, who had not seen or heard from him for days, alerted the emergency services.

The reasons for the death are not yet known, but the authorities believe it was natural causes.

Stevens' first major role came in the telefilm "The Scent of Power," as Larry DeVito. Then the popularity thanks to the interpretation of the teacher David Reardon in the two seasons of the series “They will be famous”.

Then the appearances in "Melrose Place", "Love Boat", "Magnum PI", "Quincy", "An American Family", "Detective for Love", "MacGyver", "The Lady in Yellow" and "A Year in the life".

Then the stop until 1992 and after that, in 1989 and following an arrest for driving under the influence of alcohol, he was beaten by some policemen for refusing to return, during his detention, a shirt that had been given to him. When he came out of the vault, he had a broken nose, multiple fractures, a dislocated jaw and nerve damage in his face. A more thorough blood alcohol test cleared him entirely, and the plaintiff sued for ill-treatment against the police.

His last appearance dates back to 1999 in an episode of "Walker Texas Ranger".
