On Saturday, October 1, NASA promotes the world event " The International Moon Observation Night ", a meeting for fans and curious of the Earth's satellite from all over the world.

By the time NASA is ready to return to the Moon after more than fifty years, more than 1600 events have been organized around the world to raise awareness of our natural satellite and the science related to its exploration.

Astronomical observations, events and shows, made from every corner of the Earth, will remember the cultural ties that ideally unite humanity to the Moon .

The International Moon Observation Night takes place every year in September or October , when the Moon is in the first quarter, an ideal time for observation.
The Unione Sarda Planetarium joins this event again this year, organizing a series of events at the Piazza Unione Sarda headquarters in Cagliari.
Saturday 1 October , at 7 pm, the story of the Moon , its history and exploration inside the Planetarium will be talked about; out in the open, weather permitting, two telescopes will be pointed at the Moon to be able to admire it with its seas, its mountains and its craters and photograph it with your smartphone.
Sunday 2 October , at 4 pm, “ The magic of the Moon ”, a show for families and children where you will travel to discover the Moon. While, at 7 pm, “ The Dark Side of The Moon - The universe with Pink Floyd ”, an appointment to explore the Moon and the Universe accompanied by the famous Pink Floyd album.
