The Ministry of the Interior has introduced new rules regarding safety and accessibility in stadiums, in view of Euro 2032 , where Italy will be a protagonist as host nation together with Turkey .
The five venues, which will be selected by October 2026, will have to meet the criteria established by a decree from the Ministry of the Interior. Cameras will be installed at each turnstile to record spectators' faces as they enter.
Another revolution will be seen in the two stands, which will have a maximum capacity of 10,000 seats , including one for emergency services, and will feature systems that will prevent contact between fans of the two teams.
Finally, as reported by Il Messaggero, the ministerial document provides for the establishment of a control room , equipped with closed-circuit television systems, with the aim of ensuring facial recognition even during night-time races and coverage of the entry and exit routes.
A new organizational and supervisory structure will also be introduced, with a safety plan that will have to take into account the requirements imposed by the Provincial Supervisory Commission.
