Sebastiano Esposito is officially a rossoblù footballer.

The club announced in a statement: "Cagliari Calcio is pleased to announce the acquisition of the registration rights of the player Sebastiano Esposito, who is moving from FC Internazionale Milano on loan with an obligation to buy subject to certain sporting conditions being met. The player has signed a contract that ties him to the rossoblù colors until June 30, 2030. "

Born in Castellamare di Stabia in 2002, despite his young age, he already boasts significant professional experience, including at the international level. He immediately stood out in Inter's youth academy: with the U17s, he scored 33 goals in 40 games, making a decisive contribution to the 2018/19 league title and the U17 Super Cup. A true dream, he quickly entered the first team, making his debut at just 16 in the Europa League against Frankfurt. The following season, he made his Champions League debut, becoming Inter's youngest debutant in the competition's modern history. He broke records: his first Serie A goal for the Nerazzurri came on December 21, 2019, in a 4-0 home win against Genoa, his first start. At 17 years, 5 months and 19 days, he is the youngest Nerazzurri player to have scored at San Siro, and one of the youngest scorers ever in the Club's history ."

The following season he began to go out on loan : "He first moved to Spal in Serie B, then in January he moved to Venezia, where he secured promotion to Serie A, scoring two goals and providing two assists in 19 games. His growth – both professional and personal – continued abroad: in the 2021/22 season he joined Basel, where he made his mark with seven goals and nine assists in 34 games, including those played in the Conference League. He played in Belgium, for Anderlecht (21 appearances and two goals), before returning to Italy in January 2023, to Bari, where he scored on his league debut in a 4-3 away win against Spal. In 15 games he scored four goals and two assists, thus making a substantial contribution to the team, which with him reached the promotion playoff final against Cagliari . The 2023/24 season was spent in Genoa, playing for Sampdoria, where he continued to be a key player: 6 goals and 6 assists in 23 games. This earned him a chance to play in Serie A, and Empoli signed him, where he lived up to expectations: for the Tuscan side, he scored 10 goals, also adding 2 assists, in 37 games between the league and the Coppa Italia. He finished the season with the Nerazzurri, where he played in the Club World Cup in the United States in June, making 4 appearances. Throughout his career, he has been a member of every Italian youth national team, from U16 to U21.

Esposito "is a physically strong, versatile striker, capable of covering multiple attacking roles thanks to his qualities, used both as a second striker and a central defender. Ambidextrous, with good basic technique, a skilled dribbler, he is quick and agile: he loves to roam forward to avoid giving opponents any reference points, free himself from his marking to provide—thanks also to his good vision—the winning pass to a teammate or attempt a long-range shot."

"Talent, determination, and a strong desire to emerge. Welcome to the rossoblù, Seba!" was his final wish.
