33 years ago, the intuition of director and popularizer Giampiero Cubeddu led to the creation of a festival attentive to identity values and different languages, ranging from classic to contemporary. The Ethnic and Theatrical Festival offers 11 shows this year: from 29 September to 23 March. The presentation was held this morning on the terrace of the Astra Theater in Sassari, which will host Sardinian and national companies on stage.

It starts on Friday at 9pm with "La Brea", a novelty offered by the home company, Teatro Sassari, which stages an unpublished work by Giovanni Enna with a lively dialogue-clash between Mario Lubino and Alessandra Spiga. Repeat on Saturday at the same time and Sunday at 7pm.

The other titles - "Terra senza Terra" is the concert by Ilaria Pilar Patassini on stage on 14 October. Two vaudevilles on 21st and 22nd October proposed by the Sassari company, "From the window" and "La notti chi la mamma è mostha", which will be followed by Cecè (27-28-29 October). On November 4th Il Crogiuolo of Cagliari will be on stage with "The voice of truth. The story of Luigi Polano, the communist who mocked Mussolini". The other November appointments are with the Teatro d'Inverno of Alghero (Rosencrantz & Guildenstern are dead) and on the 30th with "Why, Clytemnestra, why?" which brings together L'Effimero Meraviglioso and Asmed Balletto di Sardegna.

The Teatro del Carro company arrives from Cosenza with "U figghiu" (7 December) while on 14 and 15 December Teatro Sassari again with "Lu cuzineri". the Sassari company opens the new year (19-20-21 January) with "Regina Madre".

The closure (23 March) is entrusted to the Berardi/Casolari company of Taranto which is enjoying great success throughout the peninsula with "Lidodissea".
