Election appeal filed in Viddalba, where Giovanni Andrea Oggiano was elected mayor in the recent local elections. Following the appeal filed by mayoral candidate Maurizio Satta and candidates Pigliaru, Pischedda, and Ledda, representing the "Uniti Oggi costruzioni il domani" group, assisted by lawyers Irene Madeddu and Manuela Gagliega of the Cagliari Bar Association, the Regional Administrative Court has ordered the verification of the ballots from the most recent local elections in the Municipality of Viddalba.
This decision impacts an election result defined by a margin of just three votes and will allow the competent authorities to conduct in-depth investigations into the objections raised in the appeal.

"We chose to turn to the administrative courts with a single goal: to ensure maximum transparency and complete certainty of the electoral results. When only three votes determine the outcome of a referendum, institutional review is an act of respect for all citizens and for the administrative machinery itself," states Maurizio Satta.
The candidate also intervenes on the climate that accompanied the presentation of the appeal.
"In recent months, there has been no shortage of disrespectful comments regarding our decision. Contacting the competent authorities for a formal review doesn't mean challenging anyone, but exercising a legally mandated safeguard to protect everyone."

Satta, on behalf of the group, finally reiterated their willingness to calmly await the outcome of the investigations.
We respect the institutions' work and await with confidence how the process unfolds. What matters is providing a clear and objective response to the vote cast by the Viddalba community. This is the principle that has guided our decision from the beginning.
