Drought 2017, Murgia reaches out to Coldiretti: "Ready to further verify the practices"

Yesterday Coldiretti, through the mouth of President Battista Cualbu and director Luca Saba , after last Tuesday's hearing in the Productive Activities Commission of the Agris and Laore technicians , had harshly commented on the outcome of the investigations admitted by the Region, 5,349 applications accepted out of 22,603 submitted, those rejected were 17,254.
“Seventeen thousand times ashamed”, Cualbu and Saba said yesterday. “Unfortunately, in most cases - explains Murgia - the applications presented were not admissible and the passage of practices from one agency to another certainly did not contribute to simplifying the framework. However, it is true that the whole procedure took exceptionally long times and that the bureaucracy delays cannot be passed on to farmers, especially in such a critical moment in which companies are burdened by higher production costs. However, it would be unfair to place the responsibilities on the Department and the Executive Committee, which have always met the demands of trade organizations and farmers ”.
“For my part, I ensure that I am fully committed to paying all grants by accelerating delivery times. We are also preparing a direct communication plan so that all farmers are informed in real time of what is due to them ”, concludes Councilor Murgia.
