The 2022 basketball season went on file with Taliercio's defeat against Venice 86-76. It had opened on January 9, always away, in Cremona, where Dinamo had lost 89-80. The year ended in perfect balance: 23 victories and 23 setbacks.

The balance includes the second part of the past season with 15 wins and 11 defeats including the Italian Cup with the elimination in the quarterfinals by Milan (88-68) and including the playoffs with the overcoming of the quarterfinals against Brescia for 3-1 and the defeat in the semifinal against Milan (0-3) which would later win the Scudetto.

The start of the current season has been troubled: to date, Banco di Sardegna is 5/12 in the league, lost the final of the Italian Super Cup against Virtus Bologna (69-72) after beating Tortona in the semifinals and exited the Champions League same as last year, but by winning one more match: 2 of 6 in the group stage. Adding the total to that of last season, you get 23 victories in 46 games.

2023 will instead open at home: Brescia arrives on Monday 2 January.

Instead, 2021 began with a bang in Reggio Emilia 85-78 after extra time, with a double-double from Bilan: 22 points and 14 rebounds. Also in 2020 success in the first match of the year: 78-70 in Pistoia.

The last time a year was opened at the PalaSerradimigni was in 2019: 102-97 against Trieste thanks above all to the Cooley-Bamforth-Pierre trio who scored 62 points. And in that 2019 Dinamo passed from Esposito to Pozzecco won the Europe Cup and the Italian Super Cup, even touching the Scudetto against Venice.
