Another return to the Dinamo jersey: 33-year-old playmaker Diego Monaldi, who recently secured promotion to Serie A with Verona, averaging 7.6 points and 2.8 assists in the regular season.
Monaldi played for Sassari in the 2016/17 season, where he was used 11 times as a substitute, averaging five minutes per game. Over the next decade, he wore the jerseys of Pesaro and Scafati in Serie A, and Napoli and Udine in Serie A2. Interestingly, he won the Serie A2 championship three times: with Napoli, Scafati, and Verona.
These are Diego Monaldi's first words: "Ten years have already passed... it seems incredible. They say you always return to places where you felt good, and for me, Sassari is definitely one of those places. Many things convinced me: a solid club, an ambitious project, and the desire to build a team capable of competing at a high level. We have a group with experienced players and a highly skilled coaching staff. It will be crucial to approach every moment of the season with the right spirit, because I'm convinced that it will be our mentality and determination that will make the difference."
