Some have already arrived in Cagliari, others are still en route from all over Italy. On Sunday, June 28, over 60 enthusiasts will compete in the "City of Cagliari Risk Masters," an official event on the national circuit organized by the clubs of the famous board game in collaboration with Spin Master and Editrice Giochi. This will be a record-breaking edition for the Cagliari Risk Club, which will see players from Milan, Genoa, Bergamo, San Cataldo, Catania, Venice, Rome, Palermo, Monza, Gerenzano, Acireale, Faenza, and Turin at the tables.

The winner will gain access to the Individual National Championship, the most important Italian competition dedicated to strategy gaming. "This is a special edition for us," says Monica Corda, president of the Risiko Club Cagliari. "We've already received a huge number of applications. Furthermore, this year we're celebrating the club's 15th anniversary, and we're thrilled to celebrate this milestone with the Masters."

Founded in June 2011 by three friends passionate about board and role-playing games, and becoming an official club a few months later, Risiko Club Cagliari has participated in numerous national competitions over the years, even winning the title of Italian team vice-champion. Throughout the year, it organizes weekly tournaments and competitions open to enthusiasts.

The tournament will be hosted at the "Mamo Pizza" restaurant on Via del Pozzetto and will last all day. Registration opens at 9:00 a.m., with the first match starting at 10:15 a.m. After a lunch break, the second round will resume at 2:00 p.m., before the semifinals and final begin at 4:30 p.m. A special tank-shaped cup will also await the winners, available in gold, silver, bronze, and copper, depending on their placement. "We're ready to cross dice with all the other players," Corda concludes. "Always remembering our motto: war is only for fun."
