Electricity and gas prices skyrocket , with the consequent risk, for the Rsa of Sardinia, of not being able to cope with the costs of the bills . This is the alarm launched by ANAP Sardinia, the association of retired artisans of Confartigianato , which launches an appeal to Sardinian parliamentarians to deal immediately, before the arrival of winter, with this very serious problem.

"There is a lot of talk about the crisis of families, businesses and hotels strangled by the costs of gas and electricity bills - comments Paola Montis , president of ANAP Sardinia - but, on the contrary, we hear little about
repercussions of expensive energy on residential structures for the elderly, who have to face even greater obstacles, with the real risk of closure that would pose serious questions about the fate of the elderly who are hosted there ".

If even one nursing home were to close , the association continues, the repercussions would be vast , and not only on property and employees, but also on the elderly and their families.

"The peculiarity of the nursing home problem - Montis specifies - is that it is impossible to reduce heating for fragile guests , just as it is impossible to increase the costs of family fees ". Hence the urgent need for government intervention, and therefore the appeal to the new deputies and senators of the island before the irreparable is reached , recalling how these residential and semi-residential structures house people who are often not self-sufficient, who in most cases are not they can be hosted in their families because there are no environmental conditions or the availability of specialized and continuous assistance.

"Having ascertained that the hospitals could not take care of them as they are" chronically ill "- concludes and wonders the President of ANAP Sardinia - if the RSA were forced to close, where would the guests be hospitalized?".
