There is controversy after a Gallura committee against energy speculation in Sardinia published the names and faces of the regional councilors of Campo Largo who voted against the emergency procedure for the discussion of the Pratobello Law, which would have avoided the delays of the buck-passing between commissions.
"This decision was taken by the entire majority, composed of the Democratic Party, the 5 Star Movement, the Green-Side Alliance, Orizzonte Comune, Progressisti, Uniti per Alessandra Todde, Sinistra Futura. Consequently, the respective group leaders - Roberto Deriu, Michele Ciusa, Maria Laura Orrù, Sandro Porcu, Francesco Agus, Sebastian Cocco, Luca Pizzuto - expressed their agreement", reads a note from Campo Largo. The document continues: "Any attempt to mystify what happened, or to use the decisions of the regional council for intimidating purposes, will be rejected by the Campo Largo coalition, composed of political forces and people determined to seriously address complex and vital issues for Sardinia, such as the energy transition and environmental and landscape protection".
The president of the regional council Piero Comandini invites everyone to tone it down: «The rules exist and must be respected. In a democracy, they must be followed even if they are not shared. It is unfortunate that there is controversy for the sole fact that in this council the procedures are followed to guarantee all the Sardinian people». The PD representative adds that « I will always defend the prerogatives of the regional councillors of the majority and opposition, their work and their opinions in compliance with democracy
For Comandini, difficulties are overcome with respect for both the thoughts and the image of others: «He who insults and overbearingly tries to foment public opinion by throwing gratuitous discredit on those who do not think in the same way is always wrong ».
The Cgil also intervened on the matter: «In the democratic debate there can be no room for the mean and intimidating tones directed against the regional councilors Maria Laura Orrù, Luca Pizzuto, Sandro Porcu, Sebastian Cocco and Michele Ciusa, to whom the solidarity of the Cgil of Sardinia goes». This was stated by the secretary of the union, Fausto Durante, underlining that «it is a vile attempt to delegitimize those who think differently: political battles are fought with the strength of ideas, proposals, arguments, when we move on to threats or proscription lists we exceed the limits of political debate and democratic dialectic».
