“Contemporary nocturnes”: the students of the Conservatories of Cagliari and Sassari are also on the programme

Double appointment in a few days, in Alghero and Sassari, with the "Contemporaneous Notturni", the summer concert series organized by the Conservatories of Sassari and Cagliari.
The first appointment, in collaboration with the cultural association "Arte in musica" of Alghero, is on Monday 22 July at 9pm in the Cloister of San Francesco in Alghero with the pianists Giorgia Pintus , student of the "Giovanni Pierluigi da Palestrina" of Cagliari, and Lorenzo Niolu of the “Canepa” of Sassari.
Giorgia Pintus will perform 6 Moments musicaux op. 94 by Franz Schubert, followed by the work of the same name written by Sergej Rachmaninov and inspired by Schubert's work, 6 Moments musicaux op. 16 no. 3 and 4. Finally, the piece Reminiscenza written by the young composer Eleonora Altea will be performed. In the second part of the concert, Lorenzo Niolu will perform the Sonata in E minor Hob. XVI/34 by Franz Joseph Haydn, Andante and Rondò capriccioso op. 14 by Felix Mendelssohn-Bartholdy, Des pas sur la neige from Préludes , book I, Bruyères , from Préludes , book II by Claude Debussy, concluding with Lavender Field and Northern Light by contemporary Japanese composer Karen Tanaka.
On Wednesday 24 July at 9pm in the Sassu room of the Sassari Conservatory, the young Alice Medas will perform on the harpsichord. The program includes music by Anglebert, de Cabezón, Frescobaldi, Froberger, Sweelinck, Scarlatti, Forqueray, Bach and a world premiere piece written by “Canepa” Composition student Dario Sanna.
