The actor from Ploaghe Andrea Arru continues to sweep the awards: “101%”, the short film in which he is the protagonist, won the VI edition of the contest “The Reality that 'DOESN'T' Exist”. Written by Andriy Odlyvanyy and directed by Serena Corvaglia, the short film produced by One More Pictures with Rai Cinema also features Giulia De Lellis, Daniele Davì, Sofia Iacuitto, Luca Ribezzo and Krizia Moretti. The songs “El Pibe De Oro” and “Una Come Te” are by Geolier.
Premiered as a Special Event at the Venice International Film Festival, “101%” tells the story of the awkward and shy Riccardo (17-year-old Andrea Arru) who relies on a disturbing digital avatar to find his soulmate. Is it better to use an app or rely on instinct? It’s also the dilemma of his sister Teresa, who searches for the limits of love and respect in her relationship.
"The Reality That DOESN'T Exist" is the contest for digital storytellers, created by One More Pictures with Rai Cinema, which aims to promote new forms of digital storytelling and engage in dialogue with young people, families and institutions on the threats and opportunities of social networks and new technologies.
The short “101%” has been available since September 2 on RaiPlay and has jumped to the top of the most viewed films chart. But Andrea Arru is getting used to awards and records: even “Di4ri” was the most viewed series on Netflix for a few weeks.
