Ficarra and Picone, Filippo Timi and Emanuele Salce will be some of the protagonists of the 20th edition of The actor's suitcase, scheduled from 26 to 30 July with screenings and meetings with guests on the island of La Maddalena.

The traditional film appointment dedicated to the actor's craft and named in memory of Gian Maria Volonté, conceived and organized by the Quasar Cultural Association, is back: the first event is the theatrical performance "Mumble Mumble, Confessions of an art orphan", by Emanuele Salce , natural son of Luciano and acquired by Vittorio Gassman, who married his mother Diletta D'Andrea.

On Thursday 27 July , the two Sicilians Ficarra and Picone will take the stage of the Fortezza: the two Sicilian interpreters will receive the “Gian Maria Volonté” Award for their performance in the film “La strangezza” by Roberto Andò, which will be screened afterwards, while the morning after will meet the public at the former Magazzini Ilva in Cala Gavetta. On the 28th evening , however, the presentation of the pupils of the ValigiaLab will take place: the 13th edition of the free advanced training workshop on acting techniques, which will be held on the island of Caprera from 31 July to 6 August, will be directed by actress Donatella Finocchiaro, in collaboration with Greta Vincenza Caponnetto.

The evening will continue with a tribute to Francesco (Citto) Maselli and Gian Maria Volonté: the wife of the recently deceased director, Stefania Brai, will be present, who will introduce the screening of the film "The suspect", a work co-written by Maselli with Franco Solinas marks the artistic, human and intellectual encounter between Maselli and Volonté.

The morning of 29 July will be dedicated to an icon of film production such as Marina Cicogna, whose documentary will be presented by director Andrea Bettinetti. In the evening, the delivery of the “Gian Maria Volonté” Award to Filippo Timi, interpreter, together with Luca Marinelli and Alessandro Borghi, of one of the most awarded films of the year, “The eight mountains”, in vision to follow. Timi will close the festival on the morning of July 30 in the meeting with the public.
