Carbonia, when Sulcis marched for its salvation: students discover the history of the city
A moment to remember the famous march for economic development and employment of 1992
A large representation of three-year high school students (Beccaria, Professionale Loi, Istituto Angioy, and Gramsci - Amaldi) took part with interest in the presentation of the book "Our March", in the presence of Mayor Pietro Morittu and the authors Peppino La Rosa, Tore Cherchi, Antonangelo Casula, Sandro Mantega.
Some protagonists of the march also spoke, Antonello Pirotto, Roberto Puddu, Riccardo Cardia, Rino Barca. The event, organized by the Municipality, was a precious educational moment to enhance the historical memory of the city, promoting an initiative aimed at young people to promote knowledge of the history of the twentieth century, recalling an indelible page: the historic march for economic development and the occupation carried out in Sulcis Iglesiente from 19 October to 15 December 1992.
