The seventh edition of the Sardinia Trophy goes to Cagliari, who beat Olbia 2-0 with goals from Kourfalidis and Pereiro.

Tonight at the "Bruno Nespoli" stadium, the rossoblù beat the whites at the end of a match lacking in emotions: nothing strange for two teams who have just started pre-season preparation. More exciting was the challenge on the bench between Claudio Ranieri and Leandro Greco, two coaches who know each other well, the former having trained the latter at Roma.

The match, directed by referee Andrea Virgili from Olbia, unlocked in the 32nd minute when Kourfalidis gave the visiting team the lead. At the end of the stoppage time Van der Want denies an encore to the Greek from Cagliari, and it goes to half-time at 0-1. In the second half the rossoblù 2-0: Pereiro signs it in the 37th minute.

Great audience participation with 2500 paying spectators, more than double last year.
