Trepy is still in the hospital, but making a solid recovery after last Sunday's swimming accident. While awaiting the return of the 2006 Frenchman, Pisacane is primarily focusing on his attacking options ahead of Saturday night's league debut against Parma.

Among the options the Neapolitan coach is considering is deploying Maldini or Borrelli up front, with Fazzini and Adopo ready to move out of midfield to support the lone striker. Another possibility: Borrelli and Maldini together, with Pisacane ready to maintain the midfield seen in the Coppa Italia. Carlos is also an option: he could start after the match.

Cagliari also has Deiola and Mendy back. The defender-midfielder and the striker, after starting the week with some physical issues, are training regularly with their teammates.

Deiola's use in the center of the defense is linked to Mina's condition and the possibility that Pisacane could entrust the Colombian with command of the defense.
