An important milestone: after more than a year of stoppage due to the pandemic, the Bflat Jazz Festival starts again, which has now become a reference point for music in Sardinia, with an eighth edition full of national and international guests of great appeal.

Several show venues involved, in addition to the historic Jazz club in Via del Pozzetto, where most of the Festival directed by Marcotullio Coco will take place: privileged stages are also the Auditorium of the Cagliari Conservatory, some city squares and the Giovanni Lilliu institute for performances dedicated to children.

The Festival counts among its protagonists many famous artists of international fame and young promises of Jazz made in Sardinia.

The bill, with over 20 concerts between October and November, starts tomorrow, Saturday 16, in the Bflat headquarters at 10 pm, with the extraordinary Brazilian singer Rosàlia De Souza, on stage with one of the greatest exponents of Italian jazz, the pianist Paolo by Sabatino, to present the most loved repertoire of Brazilian music.

The following day at 8.30 pm, again at the Bflat, the quartet of the brilliant saxophonist Elias Lapia will be on stage, presenting his latest work.

In October there will be other prestigious international guests: on the 24th, in fact, the quintet of Tony Momrelle, voice of Incognito, one of the most popular British vocalists, will take the stage. On October 29, great expectations for one of the best Italian trumpet players in the world, Fabrizio Bosso, with JO Mazzariello on the piano, on tour with their album "Tandem".

Another surprise of the bill is the concert by New Orleans saxophonist Jasse Davis, awarded as best jazz musician in 1989 during the prestigious Downbeat Festival in Philadelphia.

Space also for female voices with the Eritrean singer Helen Tazfazghi accompanied by the trio of Elio Coppola.

The sons of the legendary bassist Jaco Pastorius also arrive from the United States, a trio consisting of the sons Felix on bass and Julius on drums with the Spanish saxophonist Santacruz.

On November 14 at the Auditorium of the Conservatory the expected concert by Fabio Concato, one of the most beautiful certainties of Italian music, in an acoustic recital that will retrace his enormous discography.

To complete the rich program, many Sardinian musicians, including Sebastiano Dessanay who will present his record / editorial work 377 project, a three hundred and sixty-degree artistic project dedicated to Sardinia.

During the review, seminars, masterclasses and video projections are also planned.
