Cagliari's next signing, Harry Winks , arrived at the Villa Stuart clinic in Rome shortly before 9:00 a.m. for his medical. A few minutes later, he was joined by the latest signing from the weekend: Jacopo Fazzini . Their Rossoblu experience thus begins, with a contract signing likely within the next few hours, once they've received the green light for their sporting fitness.

Fazzini and Winks were welcomed to Rome by club manager Roberto Muzzi, who returns to directly oversee the first team this season, working alongside sporting director Pietro Accardi in a coordinating role between the players, coaching staff, and management. The former Cagliari striker had also accompanied the medical checks of previous signing Alessandro Romano, also a midfielder (in the same position as Demi Akarakiri, Cagliari's first new face for the 2026-27 season).

Fazzini, born in 2003, seemed destined for Parma, but Cagliari overtook him at the last minute (as they did a year ago with Sebastiano Esposito). An agreement was reached with Fiorentina for a loan with an option to buy.

Winks, an Englishman born in 1995, has previously played for Sampdoria in Serie A and joins from Leicester City . He has a one-year contract with an automatic extension for another season if the club stays up. He could arrive in Sardinia in the next few hours, with the rest of the squad having their first training session this morning at the Crai Sport Center in Assemini.
