The Sassuolo operation is in full swing. Cagliari's motivation ahead of Saturday's 3:00 PM match at the Mapei Stadium also comes from the more than two hundred fans who braved the cold to watch Cagliari's afternoon training session at the Crai Sport Center in Assemini, further energizing the players, including Palestra, who returned from Bosnia along with fellow Azzurri player Caprile. However, he remained in the gym for a warm-down session with Turkey's Kiliçsoy and Slovakian Obert.
They spent most of the session with teammates Belotti and Borrelli, who are aiming for a call-up to the Reggio Emilia match. Pavoletti, who trained separately, remains a doubt. Dossena, suspended, will certainly be out on Saturday, along with the injured Felici and Idrissi.
At the end of training, Gianluca Gaetano challenged the team. "I'm ready, we're ready," the Rossoblu playmaker assured. "I'm fine now, I feel 100%, and I haven't felt this way in a long time. This break has helped us to unwind mentally, as well as recover some injured players."
So, ready for the final push: "We're fired up and will tackle these eight games with all our strength. I think we've done great in the first thirty, but clearly it wasn't enough and we need to do something more to get the points we're missing." The match against Sassuolo? "It will be a tough match, but we'll fight tooth and nail."
