Cagliari Primavera victorious against Udinese, but not enough to reach the playoffs
Pisacane's team put on a show by beating the Friulians 4-0. A success that however does not grant access to the play-offs

A resounding 4-0 win for Cagliari Primavera against Udinese on this last day of the championship. The team coached by Pisacane gave a real show to all the fans present at the CRAI Sport Center in Assemini but, despite the beautiful victory, they failed to earn a place in the playoffs. With 61 points in the standings, Vinciguerra and his teammates closed the season in seventh place, tied on points with their peers from Milan (winning 3-1 against Genoa ) but, due to direct clashes in favor of the Rossoneri, they saw the post season slip away, overtaken for the second consecutive year by the Milanese.
The Rossoblù made things clear right away by starting aggressively. In the 5th minute, a corner kick by Simonetta , Liteta received, controlled and kicked, but the conclusion ended up outside. In the 10th minute, Sulev also tried to conclude on goal, but shot high. Four minutes later, the guests tried with a free kick by Lazzaro , but Auseklis was ready and averted the danger. In the 17th minute, Vinciguerra appeared near Mosca , but the opposing goalkeeper blocked it without difficulty. The islanders continued to attack and in the 20th minute they broke the deadlock: Simonetta served Vinciguerra who in turn passed to his teammate Achour and the 9, a few steps from the goal, scored the 1-0. In the 24th minute, Achour was once again the protagonist with a beautiful free kick, Mosca was called upon to perform a real miracle, deflecting the ball onto the crossbar. Pisacane 's boys continue to push forward, without managing to double their lead until the 40th minute when, after a nice run down the right, Vinciguerra sends a cross into the middle, Mosca beats everyone to a central clearance and Liteta , taking advantage of the ball offered by the Friulian goalkeeper, taps it into the net for 2-0.
In the second half the music doesn't change and the Cagliari players continue to attack with persistence. In the 54th minute Simonetta for Grandu who, from outside the area, kicks hard and tense putting his signature on the third goal for the home team. Three minutes later Grandu tries again with a personal action, his cross becomes a shot that Mosca saves without problems. The rossoblù are totally in control of the match, keeping control of the game without suffering any particular danger. In the 80th minute Trepy , from the edge of the area, definitively puts an end to the match with his left foot. At the final whistle it is Cagliari who celebrate and, despite missing out on qualification for the playoffs by a whisker, closes out an amazing year in front of their home crowd.
