A bitter debut in the championship for Cagliari Primavera, who suffered a heavy defeat against the Giallorossi by 4-1 at the Tre Fontane in Rome. The hosts Roma prevailed over the Rossoblu who, despite various attempts, were unable to change the trend of the match, penalized also by the expulsion of Malfitano at the end of the first half, forcing Pisacane's boys to be numerically inferior for the entire second half of the match. Also noteworthy is the presence of Paredes among the ranks of Roma, who were able to make use of Daniele De Rossi's man as he was suspended for Cagliari-Roma in Serie A.
The match. After a long study phase lasting 24 minutes, the game is unlocked: Coletta, from the opponent's three-quarter line, controls the ball well and shoots with a right-footed shot, giving Roma the lead. Cagliari's response doesn't take long and in the 27th minute Bolzan, ex of the day, takes advantage of a defensive blunder by the team coached by Falsini, leveling the scores. The Giallorossi double is scored in the 44th minute, again by Coletta. The score at half-time is 2-1. In the second half Bolzan is once again the protagonist in the 50th minute, but the young Sardinian finds the crossbar to deny him the joy. In the 72nd minute, on the developments of a corner kick in favor of the Roma, Coletta frees himself from Vinciguerra's marking and bags his personal hat-trick. The end of the match is put in the 79th minute: Ienco becomes dangerous near Auseklis and tries a shot; Cogoni, in an attempt to clear, deflects the ball into the net.
