A very bitter midweek round for Cagliari Primavera who this morning, at the Ale&Ricky field of the Allianz Training Center in Vinovo, was mocked at the last minute by Juventus who won 1-0 thanks to a goal by Lopez. The attacking support of Kingstone, who arrived in force from the first team, was not enough for Pisacane's boys, seeing the spoils up for grabs taken away in the 89th minute.

The rossoblù start well and already at the 5th minute they try to take the lead with Trepy from a tight angle, Radu saves. The bianconeri exchange with Di Biase who is good at taking advantage of a naivety by Marini, but the ball ends up out. The game sleeps a bit until the 21st minute when, on the developments of a free kick scheme, Iliev pushes Biliboc's beautiful conclusion into the corner. At the 26th minute a double attempt by the Cagliari players first with Trepy and then with Kingstone, Radu is good at blocking both opportunities . At the 34th minute the islanders are still dangerous: corner taken by Simonetta, Soldati heads it to Vinciguerra who, with an acrobatic volley, tries to worry Radu but fails to surprise the opposing goalkeeper. The last whistle of the first half was once again in favour of Cagliari with Vinciguerra who, thanks to a mistake by Pagnucco, flew towards the Old Lady's goal, but Pagnucco himself managed to recover and close down well on the Cagliari captain .

In the second half, at 53', an action driven by Kingstone and Vinciguerra, with the latter trying to shoot, his shot is blocked by the defense. A minute later Mazur arrives in the rossoblù area, takes aim, Iliev clears it and Biliboc pounces on the rebound, sending it high. At 64' Arba, inside the bianconeri area, passes backwards to Nunn who doesn't find the target. Cagliari continues to push and at 77' Kingstone crosses an interesting ball, Bolzan dummy and Simonetta shoots all alone, sending it high . At 81' Simonetta is again the protagonist, this time with a free kick from 25 meters and almost scores the goal. Just three minutes and here comes Ventre who, with a great header, chips Iliev's crossbar. A few seconds from the end of the second half, 89', a cold shower for Pisacane's youngsters: Ventre crosses in a cross that finds Lopez's head in the area and Juve takes the lead .

At the final whistle, Magnanelli's boys are celebrating, while Vinciguerra and his teammates are left with only regret and anger for not having been able to capitalize on the opportunities they created.
