Cagliari, Manul sings the life and music of Amy Winehouse

Fourth appointment of the "Teatro Senza Quartiere" season of the Teatro del Segno of Cagliari, dedicated to storytelling and music.

On stage tonight, Sunday 29 April, and tomorrow, again at 20.30, at TsE in Via Quintino Sella in Cagliari, Paolo Putzu and the Manul & Soul Band in the show "Amy and I, what I wanted to say to Amy Winehouse".

Written and interpreted by Paolo Putzu, with live music proposed by Manuela Loi voice, aka Manul, and by the Soul Band, composed by Virgilio Atzori on bass, Pierpaolo Cardia on piano, Melania Lai and Chiara Faedda on backing vocals, the show will be enriched by the participation of a special guest of the caliber of Ernesto Lopez Maturell, eclectic percussionist and drummer of Cuban origin, a virtuoso with an intense career behind him which has seen him protagonist, as well as in the Orchestra of Piazza Vittorio, also in the bands of great interpreters of Italian songwriting such as Laura Pausini, Gianna Nannini and Biagio Antonacci.

The director Stefano Ledda made use of a large team of collaborators to create an original production of great interest characterized by the voice of Manul , one of the best interpreters of the various international tribute bands dedicated to the unforgettable and extraordinary Amy Winehouse, who died too soon, a only 27 years old, after having left immortal masterpieces.

The piece brings to the stage, through the vivid and passionate flow of memories of Paul, a session drummer, the life and music of the British "Queen" of white soul.

From their first meeting in a London recording studio to the dramatic epilogue in Amy's flat in Camden Town.

The story is punctuated by the timeless melodies of an out of the ordinary personality who continues to exert, more than 10 years after his death, a very strong interest on millions of fans all over the world.
