Cagliari makes harakiri: after Luvumbo's goal, Bologna comes back and wins 2-1
At rest they lead, but the hosts take the field and the victory
Cagliari dreams of the big shot for a time, thanks to Luvumbo's advantage, but then is overturned and returns defeated by Bologna with a score of 2-1.
Ranieri relies on the 4-4-2, with Wieteska starting in the first minute in defense and Petagna up front, flanked by Luvumbo. Bologna starts strong and Cagliari suffers. The first shiver comes from Karlsson in the 7th minute, who tries from distance and hits the top corner. After the initial outburst, Ranieri's team took courage and, in the 22nd minute, passed: Wieteska launched, Luvumbo speeded through Bologna's high defense and diagonally slipped through Skorupski, for his first goal in Serie A.
The hosts seem to be in trouble, then they get back to grinding the game. And in the 30th minute Radunovic came to the fore, first saving from Karlsson's close attempt and then from Zirkzee's rebound.
Cagliari holds the ball and controls the advantage until the break.
In the second half, it starts again with Di Pardo and Shomurodov in place of Nandez and Petagna, who raises the white flag due to a problem in his calf. Bologna presses, with Ranieri's team that never manages to restart. And in the 14th minute the draw came: collective sleep by the defence, Kristiansen found Zirkzee all alone and the number 9 put Radunovic on the near post.
Cagliari in trouble, Ranieri throws in Deiola and Oristanio for the tired Zappa and Jankto, then it's Azzi's turn for Augello. On 28' the whistle that could change the history of the match, with Orsato evaluating Di Pardo's touch with the hand. It's a penalty, but Orsolini, who took over from Ndoye, hits the crossbar. Cagliari clings to Luvumbo, who on the left makes Posch dizzy. In the 45th minute, however, Bologna turned the tables: Radunovic slipped a not too difficult shot from Kristiansen and Fabbian thanked him and made it 2-1.
Cagliari in the final assault, but risks the trio when Orsolini serves Zirkzee who makes it 3-1, but the goal is disallowed for offside. Skorupski risks nothing and, after 8' of added time, the second defeat of the season arrives.
