Cagliari wins the first victory of its championship. He does it at Unipol Domus against Sampdoria, at the end of a match well played by the rossoblùs until the whistle blows. 3-1 the final result, with the goals of Joao Pedro after a few minutes and, in the second half, of Caceres and again of Joao Pedro, who drops the trio in the recovery after the goal by Thorsby that he had shortened by reawakening the Sampdoria hopes for a few minutes . Instead the three points go to the rossoblùs.
LINE -UP - For the home match, Walter Mazzarri's team (on the Sampdoria bench from 2007 to 2009) takes the field with Cragno, Caceres. Godin, Carboni, Lykogiannis, Nandez, Strootman, Marin, Dalbert, Joao Pedro and Keita.
The guest coach D'Aversa responds instead with Audero, Thorsby, Augello, Silva, Colley, Askildsen, Yoshida, Bereszynski, Candreva, Gabbiadini and Quagliarella.
Race direction entrusted to the referee Marchetti.
FIRST HALF - Cagliari starts aggressive and after 5 minutes reap the rewards of pressure. Dalbert recovers an excellent ball and serves Keita, the number 9 crosses from the left and Joao Pedro on the line heads the ball. Marchetti and the Var evaluate the position of the Senegalese striker, who in the end is good: rossoblù in advantage.
In the action that leads to 1-0, however, Dalbert gets hurt and Mazzarri is forced to replace him with Deiola.
Accused of the blow, Sampdoria tries to shake up. He does it on the counterattack with Gabbiadini, who serves Candreva: the number 87 kicks from the edge and takes the post in Cragno beaten.
Strong of the advantage, Cagliari tries to administer and all in all succeeds, avoiding excessive risks. Quagliarella, Gabbiadini and Candreva try to sting, but the rossoblù rearguard, led by a Godin in great shape despite the tour de force in the national team, keeps a good guard until the interval.
SECOND HALF - We return to the field without changes and after a few seconds Marin immediately tries, but the Romanian's shot is blocked by Audero.
Then there is the break of Sampdoria, with Gabbiadini who is primed in the area and finds the deviation, providentially soiled by Carboni. In the first few minutes, however, the guests pushed in search of an equal, putting pressure on the rossoblùs.
After 12 minutes Mazzarri makes Godin catch his breath, inserting Ceppitelli.
Cagliari tries not to crush itself and - indeed - tries to sink the blow again. Keita tries and then Marin tries, but they both don't find the target.
At minute 65 great phrasing Deiola-Keita-Joao, then again Deiola and the ball to Keita, anticipated by a whisker by Audero in a corner kick.
Ten minutes later Cagliari passes again. Marin's free-kick from the right, the host defense free, Caceres tows his chest from the edge and tries the right: Thorsby's deviation is decisive and puts the ball at the crossroads, impregnable for Audero. Double advantage for the rossoblù.
With 7 from the end, however, Samp shortens: Caputo centers in the area from the right, Ceppitelli and Strootman lose Thorsby who heads up the winning deviation which is worth 2-1.
Shortly before 90 'Mazzarri inserts Pavoletti in place of Keita, while Cagliari is preparing to contain the final assault of the Sampdoria. An assault that starts with Candreva, who puts in a perfect cross, but Colley misses the header, with the ball going to the side.
In the 4 of recovery we go apnea: Cragno goes out in desperation and walls Caputo saving the result, with the protests of Sampdoria for an alleged detention by Ceppitelli on the host attacker. D'Aversa also wants the penalty, who insists with Marchetti and is sent off.
On the reversal in front of Nandez he wins the ball on the right, a perfect suggestion for Joao Pedro who cannot fail from two steps: 3-1, sixth goal in the league and, above all, the joy of the first 3 points for Cagliari this season.
