Gianluca Lapadula is now also officially a new Spezia player. The 1990-born striker leaves Cagliari after two and a half years, he signed a contract with the Ligurian club until June 30, 2026 and will wear the number 10 shirt. Cagliari bids him farewell with affection: " You arrived at the most difficult moment and contributed as an absolute protagonist to bring Cagliari, Sardinia and all the rossoblù people back to where they deserve to be ," the message from the club. "You were an example of sacrifice and dedication, you honored the shirt until the last drop of sweat earning yourself a place in rossoblù history with goals. The Club wishes you the best for your future challenges! Thank you for everything, Lapagol."

For Lapadula, the experience with Cagliari ends exactly five months after the expiration of his contract , with 31 goals in 74 appearances counting all competitions . This season he has played 12 games in Serie A and 3 in the Coppa Italia, a tournament where he scored the only goal against Cremonese on September 24. His last game was last Friday, as a substitute in the 2-0 defeat against Torino.

In place of Lapadula, Cagliari sporting director Nereo Bonato will have until midnight on Monday to find a replacement: in three days, shortly after the end of the match against Lazio (8.45 pm), the winter transfer market session closes.
