Great expectations for Carl Orff 's Carmina Burana who, on Tuesday 5 July at 9 pm, continue, in a single evening, the 2022 summer musical activity of the Teatro Lirico di Cagliari which includes opera, concerts and dance.
On the calendar, from 23 June to 6 August, 31 evenings of shows (12 of which in Cagliari and 19 on the island) for 6 distinct musical programs always starting at 21, and with the involvement of the orchestra and choir of the Teatro Lirico .
After Pagliacci di Leoncavallo, the inaugural show of the musical review, the Carmina Burana for solos, choir, children's choir and orchestra, the undisputed masterpiece of Carl Orff, arrive.
Directed by Alessio Allegrini . The three exceptional soloists are: Ilaria Vanacore (soprano), Christian Collìa (tenor), Leon Kim (baritone). The master of the choir is Giovanni Andreoli , while the master of the children's choir is Francesco Marceddu in his debut, in this role, in the theater of the Sardinian capital.
The last edition in Cagliari of the same version of Carmina Burana dates back to 13-14 August last summer at the Parco della Musica.
