He moved to the Genoa youth academy in the summer of 2016: a starting championship with the Primavera and then the transfer on loan to FeralpiSalò in Serie C, for his debut as a professional. In January 2019 he arrives in the ranks of Olbia.
Protagonist in the white jersey, with whom he disputes 45 appearances and three goals in one and a half season, his performances convince Cagliari to buy him outright.

For his part, Altare commented: "I thank the President and the whole club for this renewal: for me it is a source of great satisfaction", declared the rossoblù defender. "I want to share the joy of this moment with my teammates, who have helped me from the beginning. Mister Mazzarri is making me grow, I thank him: he has given me continuity, trust, I try to reciprocate all this every day with work ".
"From here on out - said the defender - very important matches await us to reach our goal: the attitude must be what we showed very often in the second round. We will have to go out on the pitch with hunger, determination and determination, helping each other. This must be the spirit to reach salvation, a goal to be achieved as soon as possible for us and for our fans. "
