Not only did his relatives and family express their affection, but the mayor of Bono, Michele Solinas, also attended the celebration for his centenary milestone, conveying his best wishes to Domenichino Sau on behalf of the entire municipal administration.

Together with his family, Don Mario, Don Massimo, and surrounded by the affection of many friends, the mayor and other administrators spent the morning in the company of the new centenarian. They were presented with a commemorative plaque and a tribute of flowers.

"Uncle Domenichinu was a hard worker and always devoted to his family," the mayor said. "During our meeting, he was always smiling and told us he enjoyed a good appetite and ate everything, always accompanying his meals with a good glass of wine.
