"Profondo nero", taken from the soundtrack of the documentary of the same name by Cagliari director Roberto Pili, wins the award for best video clip at the sixteenth edition of "Ilcorto.it - Festa Internazionale di Roma".

Pili, in the previous edition of the Festival, had triumphed in the same category with "Lucy - A Pioneer's Destiny".

The videoclip, starring Davide Lai, a Sardinian writer known in the urban art scene as Nero , is a work that translates into images the text of Danno (Simone Eleuteri), a historic member of the group Colle Der Fomento. The musical production, instead, is by the legendary DJ Ice One (Sebastiano Ruocco).

The work is a journey into the darkness of mental suffering, with incisive verses and dark sounds embodying the concept of "black" as a symbol of psychological pain and inner anguish .

The award ceremony took place last Saturday at the Teatro della Forma in Rome. This year, 1,259 works from 40 countries arrived in the Capital, with 415 works selected .

The actress Beatrice Fiori was the godmother of the ceremony. The jury instead awarded the prize for best short film to "Prova d'amore" by Denis Nazzari, with music composed by Oscar winner Nicola Piovani and a cast led by Alessandro Haber, supported by Cristina Moglia and Nadia Bengala.
