Silvio Berlusconi will not marry Marta Fascina, the Forza Italia parliamentarian, thirty years old from Calabria, with whom he has been engaged for a couple of years now.
After the leaked indiscretions , there was talk of an imminent wedding, even in March, the former Prime Minister himself intervened to deny the rumors.
"The relationship of love, esteem and respect that binds me to Mrs. Marta Fascina is so deep and solid that there is no need to formalize it with a marriage. The rumors that have appeared in the press today are therefore not true." , reads a note from the president of Forza Italia.
"But precisely because it is such a deep and so important bond - continues Berlusconi -, together with Marta I am planning for the near future to celebrate it as it deserves, with an appointment that will involve my children and dear friends".
