Jannik Sinner beat Ben Shelton 6-3, 7-6 in one hour and 35 minutes and makes it three out of three in his group at the ATP Finals, without losing a set .

The match, which was pointless for the Borg group's ranking with Jannik already assured of first place and the American already eliminated, was however worth money and 200 ATP points.

The South Tyrolean serves well and misses a few more times than usual from the baseline, but it's enough to win his fifteenth and sixteenth straight sets at the Finals without too much trouble, having not lost one since the 2023 final against Djokovic . A break in the first game and the opening set immediately gets underway, with Jannik closing it out 6-3 with another break in the ninth game. In the second set, Sinner fails to capitalize on a match point at 5-4 and 30-40 in his favor, but closes out shortly thereafter in a tiebreak (7-3), in which he is, as always, surgical (at least when Alcaraz is not present).

Tomorrow, Saturday 15 November, at 2.30pm he will challenge the Australian Alex De Minaur in the semi-final, having been defeated in all 12 of his previous matches .

This evening the Borg group closes with the challenge between Zverev and Auger Aliassime which will decide the fourth semifinalist who will challenge the world number 1 Carlos Alcaraz on Saturday evening .

And Italy is also a protagonist in the doubles, with Bolelli-Vavassori who won their group and will challenge the Finn Heliovaara and the British Patten in the semi-final .
