Three more medals, all from half marathon walking events, enrich the Azzurri's haul at the European Athletics Championships currently underway in Birmingham.
In the men's race, Italy won a double, with Francesco Fortunato taking silver and Andrea Cosi taking bronze. The gold medal went to Spaniard Paul McGrath.
In the women's race, another silver medal went to Alexandrina Mihai, who finished behind Spain's Maria Perez and ahead of Ukraine's Olyanovska, over whom she prevailed in a thrilling final duel. Antonella Palmisano finished fifth.
There are now 13 Italian medals: with 5 golds, 4 silvers and 4 bronzes, Italy is first in the medal table ahead of Great Britain (4-5-1)
