Ivan Juric is the coach chosen by Atalanta to take over from Giampiero Gasperini . The final green light for the Croatian coach arrived this morning, during a meeting between the president and the CEO, Antonio and Luca Percassi, the sporting director Tony D'Amico and the co-chairman Stephen Pagliuca, i.e. the sporting management and ownership of the club.

Juric, coming off two negative experiences at Roma and Southampton, will sign a two-year contract . He succeeds Gasperini after nine years, of whom he was a player and assistant on the bench.

Juric's was also one of the three names that were circulating most insistently to replace Nicola in Cagliari , even if it had already cooled down yesterday when rumours of his arrival in Bergamo began to circulate.

So there remains Paolo Vanoli , yesterday the officialization of the divorce with Torino , and the internal hypothesis Fabio Pisacane . But surprises cannot be ruled out.
