A temporary halt to all collaboration with Mediaset. The decision was made by Alfonso Signorini, who decided to suspend himself following the outcry sparked by accusations from Fabrizio Corona, who reported the existence of an alleged "system" to enter the Big Brother house as a contestant or aspiring contestant. The decision was welcomed by the Cologno Monzese-based company, which announced its readiness to "counter the dissemination of defamatory reports," while also calling on those who work for the company to "rigorously apply the code of ethics."

Lawyers Daniela Missaglia and Domenico Aiello, the new lawyers for the host and editor of the weekly magazine 'Chi', claim that a "slanderous and defamatory campaign" is underway aimed at "destroying" their client's reputation.

"The person primarily responsible for this surreal and virulent attack is known," they state, "a person who now wishes to assume the role of judge and public prosecutor." "To address this extremely serious, clearly evident, misconduct, and especially the widespread coverage it has received in some uninhibited media," they state in a statement, "Alfonso Signorini, a professional who has built an entire career as a journalist, author, director, and television host with scrupulousness, seriousness, and dedication, is forced to suspend, as a precautionary measure, all his current publishing commitments with Mediaset."

All television collaboration has therefore been frozen, starting with the possible hosting of the next edition of Big Brother VIP, scheduled for March on Canale 5. In a statement, Mediaset, welcoming Signorini's decision, announced that it "will act decisively in all venues, based exclusively on objective evidence and verified facts, to combat the dissemination of defamatory or libelous content and reports." At the same time, the company "reiterates that those who work for the company are required to adhere to clear principles of fairness, responsibility, and transparency, as defined by the Code of Ethics, which is applied without exception. All investigations and checks are underway to ensure compliance."
