Alessandra Amoroso is getting married.
At the end of her last concert before giving birth, in her hometown of Lecce, her partner Valerio Pastore proposed to her. He can be seen in a video posted on Instagram by Salentonews, where he first greets her off the stage with a bouquet of flowers, then sits her down on the stairs and, as in the most classic of proposals, gets down on one knee and takes out the little box containing the ring.
The Galatina singer, who will turn 39 in a few days, is pregnant with her first daughter, whose name she has already revealed: Penelope Maria. The baby is expected to be born in the first ten days of September.
Precisely in anticipation of the birth, Amoroso canceled three dates of her "Fini a qui" summer tour. "I'm grateful to be able to do my job, my passion, with complete peace of mind," the former winner of Amici said from the stage. " I'm privileged, because for many women, pregnancy and motherhood coincide with the loss of a job or the need to choose between career and family. I want to give a voice to all those who don't have my privileges and need the support of society and institutions."
