Cagliari Primavera feat against Italian champions Lecce. Pisacane's team won 2-1, in a comeback, at the Comunale di San Pietro in Lama, with goals from Kingstone and Carboni. Good performance by the rossoblù who made the best of themselves after the defeat in the championship against Genoa and the elimination from the Italian Cup.

Excellent approach from the Sardinians who already risk taking the lead in the 1st minute with Konate who doesn't take advantage of a wrong disengagement from the Lecce rearguard. The match was immediately affected by the strong wind, with the two teams mainly playing the ball on the ground. In the first quarter of an hour, Cagliari appears more proactive but it is Lecce who breaks the deadlock, in the 17th minute, with Minerva, capable of uprooting the ball from Idrissi's feet on the Cagliari attacking midfield and slotting in Wodzicki. The rossoblù's reaction came after less than a minute: Kingstone, after excellent control in the area, was cool in front of Lampinen-Scout and re-established the balance.

In this phase of the match, Pisacane's team moves the ball well. Some restarts led by Kingstone put the Apulians in serious difficulty. The Zambian center forward also comes close to scoring the possible lead in the 23rd minute. After half an hour, Lecce came out of their own half, making themselves dangerous mainly from corner kicks. The last chance of the first 45' belongs to Lecce, with Salomaa but Wodzicki is attentive.

The second half begins with Cagliari attacking with the wind in their favor. The race is quite blocked. Pisacane brought on the rossoblù's top scorer Vinciguerra in the 57th minute to give greater weight to the offensive department. The attacker immediately changes the face of the game with his accelerations. In the 63rd minute Pisacane's team turns the match around: Michele Carboni, directly from a corner, draws a parabola with the complicity of the wind that mocks the Salento goalkeeper.

At this point the Sardinians manage the advantage. Kingstone, in the 76th minute, could definitively close the deal on the development of a corner. In the final, the Giallorossi's pressure increases but Cagliari defends in an organized way.

The match ends 2-1 for the Sardinian team which flies to 14th in the standings close to the playoff zone.
