After the historic spacewalk of the Italian astronaut Samantha Cristoforetti, here is an incredible shot from space attributed to the astronaut himself .
A selfie that portrays her with the blue helmet and the Earth in the background. Illuminated cities connected by rows of lights dot the surface of our planet, forming a breathtaking panorama for what looks like the selfie of the century.
But the photo is a fake ! A clever montage by some enthusiast who has fooled thousands of people. Let's console ourselves with a real selfie from space, what the Italian astronaut Luca Parmitano did in July 2013, during his EVA (Extravehicular activity).
Parmitano wrote in his blog: "A spatial dawn, with colors that with indescribable rapidity absorb black and white and gray in a chromatic explosion. We are above North Africa, and red, yellow, amaranth, ocher fill my eyes with wonder (...). Before returning, we can't help but take a few more photos. Then I turn around and take a last look at the Earth, suspended like a jewel in velvet space black ".
