The regional council runs the approximately thirty million euros allocated in the latest budget for micro, small and medium-sized commercial enterprises .

In October, the Department of Tourism, Crafts and Commerce will publish the notice for the disbursement of loans (40% will be non-repayable) starting from a minimum of five thousand euros up to a maximum of 200 thousand euros.

It will be a notice at the counter where the chronological order of submission of applications will count until the dedicated resources are exhausted .

To date, there are 43,000 active commercial enterprises on the island.

"For traders it is a breath of fresh air - explained the Councilor for Commerce and Crafts, Gianni Chessa - the resources are intended for those who want to carry out renovations, purchase of premises or various equipment, furnishings and for computerization. a bonus is foreseen for those who hire new staff: five thousand euros for each new operator ".

"During the implementation of the Financial Law, the trade associations received a request for strong incentives for the resumption of investments in trade and crafts - said the budget councilor Giuseppe Fasolino - we started with crafts to understand if the measure could bring the desired results, the results have arrived and we are proposing the same path on the trade front. The goal is to help businesses, encourage investments and create jobs ".

Fasolino recalled that "the moment is difficult and delicate, but it is precisely in these moments that we need to increase resources and show that we are there so as not to stop the economic cycle".
