After the arrival in bookstores of the memoir "I am innocent" (De Agostini), co-written by the lawyer Marco Trogu and Beniamino Zuncheddu and   in which the lawyer retraces the 8 years of struggles, sacrifices, investigations and twists to arrive at the reopening of the trial against the shepherd of Burcei , from whom a wrong sentence stole 33 years of life, now everything is ready for a film from the incredible story .

The rights to the book have been acquired by Palomar , and Lisa Nur Sultan and Niccolò Gentili are already working on the writing. Filming will begin in 2025 in Sardinia , with an important name soon to be announced as director .

“ Zustissia ”, this is the title chosen, is the story of a heinous crime, a triple murder committed in the mountains of Southern Sardinia on a dark night in 1991, of a culprit who was not a culprit but who is quickly sentenced to life imprisonment in three degrees of judgment, and of the young lawyer who since 2016 has stubbornly fought - pro bono - to restore his freedom. It is the story of a life stolen by the longest judicial error in Italian history , 33 years of unjust detention, and of the exciting battle that the lawyer Trogu and many new allies have engaged in to arrive at the review of the trial and the acquittal, which came on January 26, 2024.

It will be a film of investigation, of civil commitment, of friendship and love. Love for "sa zustissia" , love for the truth, and love for the mountains, those wonderful mountains of Southern Sardinia from which Beniamino was kept away all his life. And where now, finally, he has returned.
