Zahi Hawass arrives in Costa Smeralda: the famous Egyptologist will be the protagonist on August 19th at the Spiaggetta Sottopiazza in Porto Cervo at Porto Cervo Libri (7:30 pm).

The meeting, part of the Costa Smeralda Consortium's cultural events program and moderated by Stefania Sofra, interpreter, Egyptologist, and historian, as well as Hawass's collaborator, will begin with the book "The Man with the Hat," published by FAS Editore, and will allow the Egyptian archaeologist to accompany the audience on a journey to discover the wonders of ancient Egypt.

In his book, Hawass retraces his extraordinary personal and professional journey, from his studies in Egypt and the United States to the most prestigious positions he held in his country, from his discoveries that have traveled the world to his meetings with heads of state, actors, scientists, and rulers.

The week will continue at Cala del Faro, where on August 21st (at 7:30 pm) Lirio Abbate, one of Italy's most authoritative investigative journalists, will present his book "I diari del boss" (Rizzoli Editore) in conversation with Giuseppe Scarpa, the only Sardinian editor of the daily newspaper La Repubblica. The meeting will be moderated by Davide Mosca.

On the same day (but at 7:45 pm), the Stella Maris Church in Porto Cervo will host an organ concert by Maestro Stefano Melis Sechi, promoted by the Mare Nostrum Association together with the Stella Maris Parish.
